Williamsburg Portrait Guild

According to Robert Atkins in ArtSpoke, “A salon is a social gathering of artists and intellectuals hosted at regular intervals by a patron in his or her home." Such convivial settings for the art of conversation emerged in Paris at the beginning of the seventeenth century.

The common purposes of the Guild are to maintain high standards in portraiture work, critique each other’s work, develop marketing plans, collaborate on shows, and socialize.

All members are members of the Portrait Society of America.
